The Milvus range, designed for the world of Canon and Nikon 24 x 36 mm SLRs, is all about photo/video versatility. On the program: a design reminiscent of Otus, very bright fixed focal lengths, foolproof construction (100% metal and resistant to humidity and dust), all-manual operation (long, soft focusing ring) and a continuous diaphragm (as on Touit). Zeiss is launching no less than 6 different Milvus lenses - a complete range, in other words - all of which will be available in the coming weeks.
Zeiss assures us that the quality level of these lenses is such that it will be entirely possible to use them in the coming years with very high-definition cameras. They are ready for 6K and beyond. A good point is that these 6 lenses are homogeneous and all have the same rendering of details and colors: an important aspect in video for an optical kit.
